Calling for entries for the sophomore edition of the M&C Saatchi Group & Saatchi Gallery Art for Change Prize! Emerging artists are invited to respond to the theme “Regeneration”.
There is a total cash prize of £20,000 to be shared among winners from six regions: the United Kingdom, Europe, the Americas, Middle East & Africa, Asia and Australia. In Asia, the judges are Ali Shabaz, Chief Creative Officer at M&C Saatchi Singapore, Dami Sidharta, Chief Creative Officer at M&C Saatchi Indonesia, Nadya Wang, Editor, Art & Market and Fashion & Market, and Lecturer, LASALLE College of the Arts.
A grand jury, led by Saatchi Gallery, will then select an overall winner, who will receive £10,000, and the remaining cash prize will be distributed equally among the five other regional winners, with each receiving £2,000. All winning works will be on show in a dedicated exhibition at Saatchi Gallery in London.
Artists have to be 18 years or older to enter, and within the first five years of their practice working in one or more of the following media: painting, drawing, illustration, photography, collage, 2D mixed-media, video or film.
The prize is free to enter and the closing date is 17 July 11.59pm BST. Regional winners will be announced in the middle of October, and the overall winner will be announced 21 November. The Art for Change Prize exhibition will open at Saatchi Gallery on from 22 November to 12 January 2024.
